P90X Day 07

What a weekend. Let’s just say I didn’t follow the textbook example of P90X diet. Friday started out right on track. I cranked out Legs and Back, went for a 1 mile jog and started out eating right, 6 inch chicken breast sub, only healthy shit on it and no cheese. I got on I-40 east bound towards Memphis for a funeral and it’s all going according to plans. As soon as the Wake was over at the church we headed to the Flying Saucer for some brotherhood and beers. That meant 4 tall Victory Pilsner and a pint of Woodchuck Pear. Newby’s was the next bar and it turned into a shit show. I went to Old Zinnie’s to see Cameron. You can imagine what happened there. Then Taco Bell happened then sleep.

Saturday rolls around and you know I’m not doing a single P90X thought. Pei Wei for lunch, Smoked brat and chicken drumsticks and corn on the cob for dinner. Miller Lite all day.

Sunday 6″ chicken breast from Subway, Tuna and bed of lettuce for dinner.

I did Kenpo X tonight because it was scheduled yesterday. I officially skipped X Stretch which was scheduled for today. I know i trayed off course but I’m not perfect. This week I’m planning on increasing numbers across the board and also adding running to my routine.

Injury Update
I’m feeling better and better everyday. I skipped playing kickball today and chose to manage with an iron fist. We won 8-5. RICE time. I’m not going to kick anything until Thursday at the soonest. It’s Labor Day this weekend and also my Birthday so yes, I anticipate pillaging wherever I go. Like I said, I’m gonna bring it hard as fuck this week.

P90X – Day 3

No problem. Forget about it. Arms and Shoulders betch. This workout was pretty good. I was covered in sweat from head to toe. I only have 20 lb. dumbbells so some of the moves were challenging. My leg injury was no problem during the workout, however, the Ab Ripper afterwords was where it hurt. In and Outs, bicycle, frog claps, and a few others really hurt.

NomNom

Breakfast – 3 eggs, 1 slice ham, 3 scoops of potato & broccoli mash

Lunch – 1 non fat yogurt, 1/2 chicken breast, 2 pickle spears, 1 glass cranberry juice

Snack – protein 1 scoop

Dinner – protein 1 scoop, 1 chicken breast, bed of lettuce, 1 serving navy beans, balsamic vinaigrette dressing, hot sauce.

WATER all day!

My morale is high, ready to drop the love handles. I have no idea how that food schedule is but I feel pretty good. In fact, I don;t think I ate enough the past two days.

P90X – Day 2

This shit is serious. First off let me tell you what I ate yesterday…. 1/4 of a midtown burger, salad with tuna and navy beans, 2 pieces of ham. Lots of water all day. The workout was chest and back, inother words, let’s laugh at Joseph try to do pullups day. It was tough. My leg injury prevented me from completing the AbRipperX portion.

Plyometrics

I was really concerned about my pulled leg on this exercise. This morning I rode down to Walgreen’s and picked up some fish oil, ibuprofen, and an Ace bandage. So I got home around 5pm and did some work. Plyometrics begins, my leg is wrapped, sweat towel and water bottle close by. Again, my leg was a major handicap yeterday, today with it wrapped snug I knocked the shit out. I stopped the DVD 10 minutes short because of fatigue and not wanting to push the leg too far.

Breakfast – 3 eggs, 3 pieces of ham, all in the skillet together, hot sauce was involved

Dinner – Salad, tuna, navy beans, balsamic vinaigrette.

Drank a shit ton of water. Sweated my ass off during Plyometrics.

Other than that, I was a bum & searched for jobs. I helped Deacon Kollier with an audition tape for an independent film. That’s my life folks. I really need a job. Just sayin.

Gotta babysit Mom tomorrow so I will have some serious Internet time. Hollar.

P90X – Day 01

Last fall I attempted P90X and failed miserably. I’ve been pretty lazy this year and finally am going to try this program again.  A few things are different this go round. For one I have a support buddy to keep each other on track. The kicker, however, is that we are having a bet on who will lose the most body fat and have the bet results. Hoofdaddy, my bud, is determined and hates losing a bet. He be a fierce competitor, he will also stick to the diet and probably never miss a workout. My saving grace is grey matter and spirit. They say in P90X you’ve got to “bring it.” You can bet I will fucking bring it. I’m not letting this prick win! Hoofdaddy, thanks for making this challenge. It will be fun and lord knows my fat ass needs it.
